Many parents need a safe, clean place for their children to remain while they are working or attending school. Childcare homes provide needed care to a limited number of children in private homes. These homes must be licensed to provide childcare.
The Family Childcare Home Licensing program provides licensing services for all family childcare homes in Sacramento County. The program:
- Recruits childcare providers
- Provides orientation
- Licenses family childcare homes
- Supervises family childcare homes in Sacramento County
- Investigates allegations of licensing violations in family childcare homes
