Alcohol and Drug Services provides a continuum of prevention, early intervention, and treatment programs.

Child Protective Services 916-875-0189

The services provided through Child Protective Services are designed to protect children from neglect or abuse; find permanent homes for children who, under Court order, cannot return to their original families; and offer a wide range of services to strengthen and support families.

Health Officer 916-875-5881

The office of the Health Officer monitors and improves the health of the community. Specific functions include: Communicable disease reporting and control, vital records registration, health education, disaster preparedness, and enforcement of health related measures. This office works with other local, state and national agencies to promote public health. The telephone line for the Health Officer is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Mental Health Services offers mental health care, referrals, and support services to mentally ill children, adolescents, and adults in Sacramento County.

Primary Health Services provides primary and public health care, diagnoses, pharmaceuticals and chronic disease management to the medically indigent and uninsured residents of Sacramento County.

Public Health Promotion and Education 916-875-5881

Public Health Promotion and Education includes Field Nursing, Health Education, Maternal and Child Health, Dental Health, Immunization Assistance, and Disease Control and Epidemiology. Services are designed to promote public health and to prevent disease and disability in our community. The telephone line for Public Health Promotion and Education is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Senior and Adult Services provides senior and disabled, dependent adults with services that protect their safety and promote their independence.
