All interested members of the community, including SAPA general members, are welcome and encouraged to attend these meetings.

Leadership Council


The following meetings will be held from 2:30 - 4:30 pm at the Sacramento County Primary Care Center, 4600 Broadway, Conference Room 2020:

Subcommittees

Community Outreach Strategies
Mission Statement:  To raise community awareness of HIV risk, prevention, education and services in Sacramento County.

Meets bi-monthly from 3:30 to 5:00 pm at Breaking Barriers, 2020 V Street in Sacramento.  Please contact Megan Trautman at (916) 876-7000 for more information.

African-Americans Against AIDS (Ad Hoc)
Mission Statement:  To mobilize African Americans to fight against the spread of HIV/AIDS in the Greater Sacramento Metropolitan area through education, prevention and treatment.

Critical Issues
Mission Statement:  To identify emerging critical issues regarding the prevention of HIV infection and related conditions, discover effective solutions, advise the SAPA Leadership Council, gather community support and take appropriate actions.

Faith Based
Mission Statement:  To increase the quality of health in the community through communication and collaboration between communities of faith and HIV/AIDS service providers.

Resource Allocation (Ad Hoc)
Mission Statement:  To ensure that the resources available to the Sacramento County HIV Prevention and Education Program are allocated judiciously and fairly thus reflecting the priorities set by SAPA.  Specific activities include setting guidelines and goals for the County allocation process.

Prevention Marketing (Ad Hoc)
Mission Statement:  Create research-based, social marketing campaigns to reduce HIV infection among identified risk groups in our community.
