Children need a safe, permanent place to live when they cannot safely return home, and are unlikely ever to return home. A permanent home provides a child with stability and a sense of belonging. The Permanent Placement Program works with families providing homes for these children.
The children remain under the supervision of CPS and receive case management services from a social worker until the age of 18. They may be in foster homes, group homes or residential treatment settings.
